Aim of the project.
1) To promote, respect, fairness and a sense of belonging for African youths and other Australians of every race, culture and religion. This project primarily focuses on promoting inter-community harmony and understanding.
2) To develop African youths and other Australians to have capacity building skills to cope under significant pressure due to their cultural, religious or racial diversity. This project aims at using Mentoring, Music, Sports and Training (MMST) in order to build social cohesion and promote positive contributions to Australia.
This program focuses on youth and teenagers from 15 years to 25 years.
Most people that migrated from Africa and other countries had dreams and aspirations before and on arrival to Australia. Sadly many have abandoned their dreams due to a lot of influences in Australia. Redeemed Care has developed DREAM FOCUS which is a project that will not only help these migrants as well as Australians to focus on their dreams but also help them to discover new skills.
This project lasts for 6 Months and the next class starts immediately. The project is made up of 4 components namely: Mentoring, Music, Sports and Training.
A grouproup of young ones would be allocated to a responsible Professional who would guide, coach and mentor them for six months. These responsible professionals would be recognized by giving them a certificate of recognition at the end of six months. The Young ones mentored would also be given certificate after they have completed their training.
Music concerts would be organized every second month. The aim of the music concerts is not only to keep the Youths engaged, it is also to enhance social cohesion amongst different nationalities and religion. Through this music concert, the Dream Focus would be further advertised and registration forms distributed.
Sports competition would be organized amongst different religious and ethnic groups. For some of the youths who are not interested in music, some of them may be interested in sports. The aim of the sports is not only to keep the Youths engaged, it is also to enhance social cohesion amongst different nationalities and religions. Through the sports, the Dream Focus would be further advertised and registration forms distributed.
Youths will be trained on how to cope with practical issues facing the youths of today in Australia. The training would be a six module course that would be thought in six months. At the end of the training, certificate of completion would be awarded to all the students that completed all the courses.
